On Dublin Street Free Audiobook Download by Samantha Young
On Dublin Street is a new dirty, sexy, and suspenseful standalone novel in the Getaway Girls series. It's full of friendship, love, family, loyalty, and it's written by debut author Samantha Young. The story follows four friends on their annual girls' trip to Vegas. On their flight from LAX the girls find themselves battling a hijacking that causes them to make an unexpected stop in Dublin.
Paula Costello, narrator of the On Dublin Street audiobook, is one of my favorite narrators. She manages to portray all of the characters from their own perspective without a single word from any other character. I have read quite a few books by Samantha Young and enjoyed them all.
There are two sides to every story, and this follows the tradition. The first side of the story is told by Sarah, a no-nonsense American woman who has just relocated to Dublin with nothing but her fancy notebook and determination. She's not looking for love, but then she meets Paul. Sarah's got one job: to find any signs of the woman he was with in order to protect him from scandal and keep him happy.
The audio version of On Dublin Street is narrated by the author herself, Paula Costello. The narrator does a great job of giving each character their own voice, making it easy to differentiate between identities throughout the book. This was a fantastic addition to the story that kept me very engaged.
Notre-Dame de Paris, a magical place in Samantha Young's newest novel On Dublin Street, is a fortress in the heart of the French Quarter. A convent to which Irish immigrants fled years ago to escape persecution and poverty. The nuns taught them to speak their mother tongue as well as French, but they also instilled resilience and hope—just like real life.
Paul Costello has been having a tough time since his wife passed away and the loss of their son. He takes on a new job at a Dublin pub that he hopes will be his salvation, but when family secrets are revealed, he'll have to decide between fighting for what's right or giving up everything just to get through the day.
