"Off the Grid" is a crime thriller with some twists of romance to liven up the story. The story takes place in small town called Hope, Montana with an unlikely protagonist as the main character, Jessie Nelson. I really liked this audiobook and would recommend it for anyone looking for a quick (10 hour) one-time read.

The story is set in a small town in North Dakota, but the author has woven many details into the tale that give insight into his own life and fictional character's. The protagonist of the novel deals with the repercussions of a decision he made decades ago--to stand up against his family's massive oil drilling operation.

I love C.J. Box but have not read any of his books in years. I love audiobooks and I'm always looking for new titles to listen to so when I saw the option to listen to Off the Grid narrated by David Chandler, I had to try it out.
