Odd Interlude Free Audiobook Download by Dean Koontz

Nothing is as it seems in this dark, twisting thriller. The Odd Interlude by author Dean Koontz has been described as a twisted psychological treat that takes the reader on a roller-coaster ride of twists and turns. The story follows Frank, a hospital orderly who's having severe anxiety attacks, and his sudden relationship with Laura, a doctor who may be more than she lets on. Frank becomes obsessed with her, and the suspenseful journey that he finds himself in makes for an incredibly effective read.

Sometimes that's what you get in life, people show up and you need to leave quickly. Sometimes they're people who are just passing through, but some of them are invaders from the other side. Dean Koontz's new novel, "Odd Interlude," is a tale of crossing paths with such an invader. It mixes dark paranormal moods with the American Southwest setting to create a tense tale that will keep readers on the edge of their seats.

[David Aaron Baker] does a wonderful job narrating this audiobook download. He is able to create all the different characters in his voice, as well as create a unique way of reading each character. I don't recommend listening to this book unless you are ready for a dark, scary situation.

The narrator was different and it made me uncomfortable. I was familiar with his voice because he is the narrator of many audiobooks, including some by Dean Koontz. He has a deep yet calm tone that doesn't match the way this book was written. It seemed like too much of a stretch for me to believe that an average man would be able to sleep for months or years at a time, leave his family and start over in another country only to resume his life about 30 years later with no memory of where he's been or who he is.

This is a thriller by author Dean Koontz, which is made even more interesting with the way it's narrated. "Odd Interlude" is an unpredictable story of suspense and mystery at its core. The main character, Chris Fazio, has a secret that he's been keeping from himself for years. With the help of his best friend and cousin, he sets in motion a plan to rid himself of this burden. But when things go very wrong, he needs to run fast, but not too fast because the person chasing him is always one step ahead.

Unsettling and mysterious, Odd Interlude by Dean Koontz is an intriguing horror novel. 'Aiding and abetting', a mysterious woman arrives in her town with the intent of teaching them a lesson about what it means to be human.
