Obsession Falls: A Novel Free Audiobook Download by Christina Dodd

A young woman's carefully crafted identity is torn apart when her cheating husband stumbles upon her secret in an online role-playing game. As the story unravels, the line between reality and escapism blurs, leaving the protagonist to face what she has tried so hard to deny: her dark desires are real.

The author of this book, Christina Dodd, wrote a short story that was shown to her by someone who knew her very well. The first time she saw it she couldn’t believe what she was reading and had the idea for a novel. The book is about obsessive love and its effect on people around the main protagonist. In this audiobook you get to hear January LaVoy narrate every one of these characters as they are pulled deep into the world of obsession; trying, failing and succeeding to make their way through the stages of obsession.

One of the most exciting twists of Obsession Falls is that the narrator, January LaVoy, is deaf since she was born. This creates a whole new level of tension and suspense in the novel as the reader experiences all of the events through her unreliable narration.

The narrator, January LaVoy did a wonderful job in her narration. Her voice was strong and she made the story come alive. For those who enjoy audiobooks, I would highly recommend this one.

[January LaVoy] has done a beautiful job narrating this story. There are a lot of characters and the author is able to keep their individual personalities distinct throughout the book. The listener can not only hear their different voices but hear how they sound in the context of conversations, which makes it easy for the reader to follow along with each one as they come across. It's an interesting read that keeps you guessing what will happen next until it finally unfolds.

In this novel, the protagonist of the story is a woman named Heather who has just received a diagnosis of ovarian cancer. She is having surgery to remove her ovaries and uterus, but only finds out on the day before that she actually has terminal cancer and will die very soon. While preparing for surgery, she feels an overwhelming sense of guilt because she does not have enough time to say goodbye to her loved ones.
