"Obsession", by Patricia Bradley, is about two best friends who have a love/hate relationship in their high school days. They meet at a very young age and develop a friendship that lasts into adulthood. The book is set during the present day--not too long ago. The main character, Elizabeth, has a secret she's been keeping from her best friend and spends most of the book worried that she'll find out what it is.

The first time I heard about this book was on Audible, and it sounded like such a great story. It is so much more than that too, for me. The narrator does an incredible job of bringing the characters to life and making you feel for them. The narration is so good that I actually wanted to go back and listen to it again with my own ears.

Obsession is a gripping, suspenseful novel that realistically portrays the struggles of the protagonist, Claire. Claire is an overachiever who feels like she has everything under control up until graduation when she is forced to make changes in her life. She then embarks on a journey of personal discovery, learning to deal with life and relationships as they come. The novel also includes diverse characters that are realistic and compelling.
