Charlaine Harris is one of my favorite authors, so when I found out she had written a book about her novella 'Night Shift', I couldn't wait to read it and review it for you!

Night Shift was the first book in Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampire series. It tells the story of Sookie Stackhouse, a telepathic waitress whose life changes completely when she meets the mysterious Bill Compton and his vampire posse. Unbeknownst to her, vampires have taken over Louisiana, and it's up to her to figure out how they are controlling these humans without them even knowing they are under vampire rule.

Night Shift is the tenth installment in the amazingly popular series about Sookie Stackhouse, a telepathic waitress who has difficulty avoiding being drawn into supernatural mysteries. In this story, Sookie travels from southern Louisiana to Memphis and then finds herself in New Orleans when she's recruited for an important job as an extraction specialist. She meets some interesting characters and has a few adventures before finally returning home.

Susan Bennett is a well-known narrator of audiobooks. Night Shift is the first book in The Harper Connelly Series, which alternates between the viewpoints of Harper McPhee and her father, Sheriff Thomas "Mac" McPhee.
