Morality for Beautiful Girls Free Audiobook Download by Alexander McCall Smith

Morality for Beautiful Girls by Alexander McCall Smith is the first of a series of novels following the lives of two women, Maude and Mma Ramotswe. It is different from other novels in that it focuses on how to find your own morality and values, rather than explaining what morality and values are.

It’s been many years since I last read the first novel in this series, and I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed it. The book is written in a light, humorous manner and manages to address moral dilemmas that seem to have a universal appeal.

Morality for Beautiful Girls is a book in which the main character, Mma Makutsi, the new employee at Mr. J.L.B. Matekoni's business, begins to realize that she is not as good at her job as she thought she was and seeks out instruction from her boss on how to improve her skills. Her boss suggests several things to do including finding a mentor who can give Mma Makutsi advice on improving her skills and taking care of herself better so that she can improve her work performance.

Lisette Lecat is a beautiful girl just like you who has always been able to get what she wants, whether that means using her looks to get ahead, or using her sexuality and wit. She knows what it's like to be called 'too fat' and 'too skinny', though not exactly in the way you might expect. As a beautiful girl who still had to work hard for everything, Lisette never thought of herself as being morally superior to anyone else. It was only after she discovered that others envied her beauty and sense of entitlement that it occurred to her that they might have something valuable to offer society too.

Lisette Lecat is an actress and comedienne, who provides the perfect voice for the story of the beautiful ugly duckling. With her poignant narration, she explores what makes a person moral, how those morals may change over time and how society's view of morality can lead to prejudice.

In this audio book by Alexander McCall Smith, Lisette Lecat speaks of the importance of morality in the lives of young girls and why it is so necessary to keep it in mind when they come into the world. It was written shortly after the publication of his first novel, The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, and has been expanded upon through all six books.
