Moon Witch, Spider King Free Audiobook Download by Marlon James

Bahni Turpin does a fine job of narrating this audiobook. She has a voice that is clear and pleasant to listen to. The only issue I had was with the length of the chapters; sometimes the chapters are too short and in other chapters, she doesn't keep a steady pace where I can follow.

In Marlon James's novel, the protagonist is a young witch responsible for watching over her family and their plantation. When she discovers that her mother was killed by slave hunters who had come in search of her father, she decides to take revenge on them all and become a bounty hunter herself.

Bahni Turpin does a phenomenal job with this book. The way that he reads it makes you feel like you are in the story, living and breathing it with him. He has the perfect voice for the entire thing and really helps to immerse the listener into this dark fantasy.

'Bahni Turpin' is a masterful narrator of the genre, who brings this complex story to life. His ability to give each character their own distinct voice, as well as capture the necessary nuances to pull off this tale so vividly is nothing short of miraculous.

Bahni Turpin is an author who, before he became a successful writer, was a prison guard. He guards the South African prison where Marlon James is writing his autobiography "Moon Tiger". In this audiobook version of his book, Bahni tells the story through James' voice.
