In this story, the protagonist, Grace, is a Korean-American woman who lives in 'Miracle Creek,' a small town in California. Grace has never been able to convince her parents to visit her or return the visits she's made in Korea while they were still alive. She finally manages to convince them when they come to live with her after their deaths, and she's excited to show them around their new home.
