Finally, we see things through the eyes of a young girl called Sage who has magic powers.

The book is narrated by Katie Schorr, the reader for "A Secret Place", and follows the career of Abby Wentworth as she leaves her old life behind to work with her brother-in-law, Sergeant Shane Johnson of the Royal Mounted Canadian Police Department. With two children in tow, Abby begrudgingly joins her sister as they figure out how to deal with a traumatic event in their family's past.

The narrator Katie Schorr had a perfect voice for this book and she was able to capture all of the characters emotions with ease. I loved listening to it during long commute hours on my way home from work and would definitely recommend it to others.
