Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe: A Novel Free Audiobook Download by Heather Webber

Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe tells the story of Rebecca, a girl who discovers that she has the ability to read people's emotions and thoughts. She starts using her power to help others but soon learns that she is being hunted by those who want to use her.

Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe is a dark and delectably delicious novel in which a perfect stranger meets a girl and falls in love. It follows the life of Hannah and his struggle to find himself. Will he manage to find out who she really is?

Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe is a novel about change and reinvention. The year is 1980, a time of revolution and unrest as the US government begins to crack down on drug use. This novel follows the story of three interconnected people: Amanda, an aging celebrity who tries to reinvent herself through dieting; Johnny, a high-end male prostitute who's happy with the life he's created for himself; and Sally, who has just moved from California to New York City after her mother dies. This book is like nothing I've ever read before! I highly recommend it!

Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe is a heart-wrenching, tragic tale of love and loss, hope and redemption. It tells the story of two people who come together on a seemingly ordinary summer's day - one a recent high school graduate and the other her mother's caretaker. The daughter has been unable to acclimate herself back into the world after being torn away from it by her mother's death, while the caretaker has been tasked with taking care of her only child in an attempt to keep her alive in order to cover up the crime. But when everything falls apart and they are forced to set aside their differences in order to survive, they find themselves drawn closer than ever before.

The story is narrated by 3 narrators and follows the lives of a family in Northeast Ohio through the course of their lives. It is set in the early 19th century, just before the end of slavery. This novel has many themes like racism, sexism, and patriarchy. The narrator's reflect on these issues throughout the course of the story with various historical figures that I won't spoil here- you can check out some excerpts from this book to see for yourself.

"It is funny how we never know our own strength until someone challenges us," says Eva, the protagonist of this novel. That's what makes Eva a unique woman and what makes her journey worth investing in. In Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe, there is no one like Eva. She's a caretaker in her early 20s who lives with her fiancé, Christopher, at their family home in San Francisco's Richmond District. Christopher has been diagnosed with cancer and they have decided to spend their time waiting for chemotherapy together by renovating the place so that it will be ready when he dies.
