This is the first book of Morrison's that I've read. It was an interesting and powerful novel of a young woman who falls in love with a man and then becomes her mentor, but she is not entirely sure what to do. I found some aspects of this book to be rather disturbing, especially when the protagonist is still living for several years after her mentor's death, and does not really seem to have moved on grieving properly. To me this seemed like a big theme throughout the text: how one can love someone so much that they become your life without ever giving up on being alive themselves.

Though it may not seem like a typical audiobook, the narrator of Love by Toni Morrison is actually the author herself. This would be a good book for those who are struggling with love in their lives. It is an oldie but goodie that is worth re-reading in audiobook form.
