Lord John and the Private Matter Free Audiobook Download by Diana Gabaldon

This audiobook download is about a rather unfortunate situation for Lord John Grey. One of his friends is facing a hopeless case in terms of maintaining his honor, and Lord John sets out to find out what went wrong.

For someone like me who is not comfortable with technology, reading a book has always been my preferred choice. As long as you don't mind the time it takes to get through a book, and most of us can handle sitting down on the couch with a good book, then I think all books are worth the effort. There are some drawbacks though. For one thing, if a particular book doesn't grab your attention right away, it can be hard to stay interested in such a long work. This audiobook however is excellent!

The book is a story about Lord John Grey and his love Elizabeth Skinner, who is betrothed to the marquess of Lothian. The story tells of John's battle to save Elizabeth from her impending marriage and of their escape to America.

Lord John Grey, whose remarkable skills make him an invaluable resource for the soldiers of King James's army during the Jacobite rising of 1745, is privately engaged in a mission from King George III. The king sent Lord John to the remote Outer Hebrides with instructions to bring back his illegitimate son by his lover, Charlotte. But the child has vanished without a trace

Lord John arrived at his destination, a small hunting lodge near Beauly in the Scottish Highlands. He was pleased to have narrowly missed meeting his father in Edinburgh, but disappointed that he wasn't able to have a few weeks' respite from him before returning to his life as an undercover agent.

In Lord John and the Private Matter, Lord John Grey is forced to spend several days with his rival, Captain Richard Bullingworth, who is one of the British officers in charge of smuggling a Jacobite assassin into France. To ensure their continued cooperation, the captain asks for a favor from Lord John--to help him rescue his daughter from the clutches of a man who has claimed her for himself.
