Little Fires Everywhere Free Audiobook Download by Celeste Ng
[This book is about] the Richardson family, who move into the side of a housing development in Shaker Heights, Ohio. They are quickly welcomed by their new community--a mix of old and young families. But when a single mother, Mia Warren, moves into the neighborhood with her teenage daughter Pearl, tensions between the two groups rise almost immediately.
Every family has secrets. Most are harmless, small things that build up to reveal themselves in a while. In the case of the Lake family, they're so small they're practically inconsequential. But there's one secret that's hidden inside a dollhouse and behind a closed door, and it will unravel the lives of everyone who loves them-and change forever how we think about what's real and what's not.
The narrator, Jennifer Lin, voices the protagonist and her daughter. The story is written in a very interesting way. It takes place over three different time periods in three different places in the same town. This audiobook is meant to be listened to and that makes it nice because it's so easy to listen to while doing other things or when you're driving.
"This is a story about a mother-daughter relationship. It's about what happens when everything goes wrong, and how when everything is going wrong, there may be something more than meets the eye."
Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng is a compelling novel about how a seemingly idyllic neighborhood can become anything but. It tells the story of two mothers and their children, who are polar opposites - one white and privileged and the other Asian, poor and struggling.
If you are interested in learning more about this book, the author has recently released a companion novel called 'The Sun is Also a Star'.
