Less (Winner of the Pulitzer Prize): A Novel Free Audiobook Download by Andrew Sean Greer
Andrew Sean Greer's newest novel, "Less," tells the story of a man who is living in middle age and who, despite the years that have gone by, still feels like he is just beginning to figure it out. It begins with a revelation: if he earned $ 1 million in one year, he would spend it on prizes for everyone else around him. But when his partner at work makes a request that goes against everything his character believes in - namely, that being less is more - Less sets off on an adventure to lose his excess weight, and even more so after he's made friends with a terminally ill woman.
Less (Winner of the Pulitzer Prize): A Novel narrated by Robert Petkoff is a novel about Less, a man who has spent his entire life working as an artist. But when he is diagnosed with an incurable disease which he believes will kill him in one year, he realizes that he will never be able to produce anything new again. He starts to write a letter to his daughter, who doesn't know he is dying yet, but it becomes clear that there are many things left unsaid between them.
This is one of the latest audiobooks I have downloaded on audible.com and I think it was a great choice. The narration is really spot on, and I can't wait to listen to more audiobooks narrated by Robert Petkoff.
Launched on a big release by the publishing house, 'Less' is no ordinary novel. It's not even a novel in the conventional sense. The book tells the story of Less, a character that also serves as narrator of his own life and thoughts. At turns funny, romantic, and tragic, 'Less' is a book about living life differently for different people by switching identities.
Less, subtitled "A Novel" is a semi-autobiographical story about the life of author Andrew Sean Greer. Greer had been a successful novelist for years when, at the age of 34, he had a midlife crisis. He decided to break with his publishing company and transition from writing novels to writing screenplays. He believes his decision to switch careers was what led him to winning the Pulitzer Prize in 2011 for his novel, Less.
Less is a book about relationships. Set in the early 1980s, it tells the story of Jack, a young writer on a quest to connect with one person at a time. His relationships are not only with individuals but also with his family and friends.
