The Last Apprentice is a series of young adult novels written by Joseph Delaney and narrated by Christopher Evan Welch. The series follows apprentice Will Stanton who must defeat the Soul Stealer, a demon who lives in a portal from which it feeds off human souls.

Christopher Evan Welch is the narrator for this audiobook. He does such a good job that I found it hard to switch between listening and reading the text. I was able to connect with Christopher's emotions and sympathize with him even though he was fighting against an enemy much stronger than himself. Through his narration, Chris made it easy for me to imagine this world in which darkness and evil has taken over almost everything.
