The first thing that captured my attention when I started listening to this book was the narrator. She has a wide variety of voices for different characters and she does an amazing job developing the emotions of each character so well. The story is about a kingdom run by pirates and it's from the perspective of one girl who is trying to escape her family's reign as pirates.

The Kingdom of Sea and Stone is the first novel in a trilogy by Mara Rutherford. It's a fantasy novel which tells the story of two women: one born into royalty, the other to a fisherman's family. The two protagonists meet at an arranged marriage ceremony, and quickly realize they are star-crossed lovers with a destiny that will turn them from enemies to friends.

[Amanda Dolan] is a British narrator who speaks with a pleasant, calming voice that readers will enjoy. [Amanda Dolan] does an excellent job portraying the main character, and makes me feel like I'm experiencing the journey alongside her.

This is a story divided into five parts that tells the tale of three mermaids who live in the kingdom of Sea and Stone. They are princesses, but they are not happy. They are longing for love and romance, but the prince in their kingdom has never seen them or any other women like them, thus they cannot get married. The three mermaids set sail on their father's boat to find a new land with living men.

"Kingdom of Sea and Stone" follows the journey of a young sea urchin as it tries to find its new home. Along the way, it meets a variety of curious creatures who all have their own story to tell.
