Island of Thieves: A Novel Free Audiobook Download by Glen Erik Hamilton

Diego is an ex-con who has been released from prison after serving time for a crime he did not commit. He joins up with Ramón and the rest of their crew to steal a boat in order to escape their island home.

A businessman has to decide whether to save his friend of thirty years or to spend the rest of their lives in prison.

Set in the never-ending night of the Pacific Northwest, "Island of Thieves" spins a tale of high-stakes burglary and betrayal. The protagonist is a ballerina who's been living on an air mattress in her van while she makes ends meet by stealing expensive items from showrooms and homes. As he tells his story, we learn that the rest of society is more like parasites feeding off of a population that exists outside the law. The novel echoes themes from Orwell's 1984 and carries elements from Edith Wharton's A House Divided to Aldous Huxley's Brave New World.

The Island of Thieves is a 'Ramsay-esque' story set in the Pacific during World War II. A group of savages are left for dead by their captors, and as they fight to survive on this remote island, they must learn how to overcome the horrors of their isolation.

This is no ordinary story of pirates, treasure, and deadly adventure. The novel begins on a remote island where eleven-year-old Jacky lives with his nine-year-old sister Rose and father. For years, it's been the same routine. But in one fateful day, their routine changes forever when a ship from England arrives to find their island swarming with pirates carrying stolen treasure.

"Island of Thieves is a riveting adventure story set on the tropical island of Cofitachequi, off the coast of Nicaragua in 1520 A.D. After Spain conquers and colonizes the New World, two different cultures collide: the old world ekes out a living on this forgotten island, where the Spanish conquerors are outnumbered by hostile natives and pirates."
