Indefensible is a novel about personal responsibility, forgiveness, and redemption. The story follows the protagonist, Paul Daley, as he becomes obsessed with Elizabeth Haverford, an ambitious producer at one of the major networks. When the two finally meet in real life, everything falls apart for Paul. He goes into deep depression and lets his addiction take over. His parents try to help him get through it all but there's only so much they can do. After several years of struggle, he comes back into society.
James Foster, narrator of the audiobook "Indefensible," has a difficult time convincing others that he's innocent of the murder charge against him. The defense attorney, Jameson, is convinced he's guilty. The jury is deadlocked on a not-guilty verdict, but unfortunately things don't go according to plan as there's a mistrial. Jameson takes an aggressive stance in pressing for a second trial where he'll have other evidence and witnesses to back up his original story. However, something will change in the process and nothing is quite what it seems as Riley tries to find out what the truth is about Jameson and herself.
James Foster narrates this psychological thriller set around a court trial. A man is accused of murdering his wife and daughter and has to stand trial. The story starts off with the woman who first accuses the man of murder, then her husband, and in turn their son, before ending on the defense's side. There are twists and turns throughout and it's a really good listen.
The narrator of Indefensible is not a lawyer. He's more like a counselor, someone who gently guides you through the story of Michael Griesbach and his complicated life.
