With no one else in the world able to pay for their freedom, she's forced into making a life for herself with the strangers she meets. The protagonist in this book has it all . . . until she realizes that what she has is just enough to get her through the day and even then, barely.

Emily Woo Zeller narrates the audiobook for 'Indebted'. The book is about a girl named Gwen, who has always been good at all of her classes and had good grades, but she still found herself struggling to graduate with the rest of her classmates. With no other options, Gwen gets herself into a deep cycle of debt in order to pay for college.

Indebted is a contemporary YA novel about a young woman who's just been kicked out of her house for trying to find the money she needs to pay off her debt. The protagonist, Sophie, is then forced to live with a roommate, find work and figure out how to get on her feet as she's also taking care of her sick mother.

The story began with a simple sentence. "I know I'm in trouble." This was followed by an avalanche of events that were either heartbreaking or enthralling. Emily Woo Zeller is a young woman who had everything going for her, until the day she got laid off from her job, lost her home, and found herself in debt up to her eyeballs. She meets a man through an online dating site and they hit it off, but he's married and has two kids. Now Emily lives in his house with his family and she is struggling not only to pay back the debt but also to keep up hope that things will change for the better soon.

This is the first AUDIOBOOK for Amy A. Bartol, a recent graduate of Boston University who is struggling to find her footing in the professional world. With unemployment at an all-time high and bills piling up, she's desperate for a new job, but before she can even think about this it's time for her monthly meeting with her loan officer.
