The story is about a young boy named Jack whose best friend is his imaginary friend, Nobody. Nobody helps him survive middle school and make it to high school. The novel goes back and forth between the present day as Jack begins to realize that Nobody might not be real, and his past as he remembers what it was like to have an active imagination while growing up.

The audiobook download features one of the best transferring narrators ever. Christine Lakin, whose voice sounds like a calm, balanced combination of sadness and hope, gives an excellently narrated performance. She is able to give life and dimension to every single character in this work with her voice. Stephen Chbosky wrote a piece of fiction with great writing and an imaginative plot that gets you hooked from the first sentence. The voice acting on this production brings everything to life in such a realistic way that anyone would be mesmerized and blown away by the story.

This is definitely one of the best audiobooks I've listened to recently, if not one of the best I've ever heard.

It's worth noting that there is a chapter in the middle of the book that isn't narrated by Christine. The audiobook is 10 hours long, so prepare for an engrossing listen if you plan to listen to it on a commute or road trip.
