How the Light Gets In: A Chief Inspector Gamache Novel Free Audiobook Download by Louise Penny

Louise Penny's Chief Inspector Armand Gamache series has been a pleasure to follow and I have enjoyed each of her previous novels. This latest offering, How the Light Gets In, is no different. The setting is beautiful and interesting, the characters are complex and intriguing, and the plot keeps you guessing until the very end.

The novel begins with Chief Inspector Armand Gamache investigating the disappearance of three elderly nuns from their isolated convent. The investigation takes a turn when he discovers photos on one of the nun's computers showing her life with earlier man. He connects this to another missing nun who was presumed dead and then connects this to his own history exploring the secrecy behind his childhood, the secret operation that put him in an orphanage and what his old partner had said about it.

Louise Penny has beautifully embedded her readers in each and every moment of this novel. The various characters are so engaging that we fall in love with them as they do with us. Every character is a lesson learned, and the best part about this book is that we get to be there for these events. The audiobook download includes a downloadable copy of the entire book, but does not include the author's biography or images from the novel's cover.
