House of Korba Free Audiobook Download by C. L. Stone
You will have to suspend your disbelief long enough to make it through the first part of House of Korba. It introduces a world that I found fascinating because of the idea that history can be rewritten by those who are in power. The second half is full on fantasy, but what I liked about this book is that it really does manage to keep you guessing and on your toes.
Natalie Eaton is narrating C. L. Stone's House of Korba novel, which takes place in the 1950's and tells the story of Eva Korba and her family. Eva always had a pretty privileged life until her father dies. She starts to work for her uncle in order to help out with their family business, but it doesn't last long before she's running his entire company. Along with that, she must deal with an arranged marriage to a man who lives in India! This is just a sample description, please download the book to get an idea of what it's about!
House of Korba, narrated by Natalie Eaton, is an enjoyable and well-written audiobook. The story is compelling and the narrator has a lovely voice that captures your attention. This book tells the story of twins Emma and Jack who are separated after their parents die in a tragic car accident. Emma stays with her grandparents while Jack goes to live with their uncle in Australia. However, when Emma turns sixteen she begins noticing strange occurrences in her house and discovers that she's inherited some magical abilities from her grandmother. This power helps her uncover some dark family secrets that have been hidden for many years. Paragraph: I found it difficult to keep listening to this book as the narration was very monotonous. A lot of the time vocals were just unnecessary filler words at odds with what was happening in the text. There were also some issues with mispronunciations of words which made it hard to understand what was being said sometimes.

House of Korba is a young-adult urban fantasy novel written by C. L. Stone. It is the first in what will be a series, and follows Aryal as she rescues her sister from the House of Korba, a school for fallen angels. The story begins with Aryal, who has been living in hiding with her family since the day she was born--the day when her mother died giving birth to her. When their father finds himself in trouble, he sends Aryal to rescue her sister from the House of Korba, an academy supposedly for fallen angels.
