Hot to Trot: An Agatha Raisin Mystery Free Audiobook Download by M. C. Beaton

For a mystery lover Agatha Raisin has it all in the form of a new British crime series, Hot to Trot! As an avid book reader, I was excited for this new addition to my library. The story is set in 1940's England and follows Agatha Raisin as she investigates the case of a dead man found in a barn. With her stalwart sidekick, Bertie Wooster, on her side she's sure to get to the bottom of it. Keep an ear out for this audiobook as you are sure to enjoy it!

Although I have never read any of the Agatha Raisin mysteries in print, I still found this audiobook to be very enjoyable. The narrator did a great job with the accents and making different characters sound unique. This is a mystery that is not intense but light and fun.

Independent, down-to-earth, and a self-made woman, Agatha Raisin has made a name for herself in her small village. But when her friend Charles is found dead in the local pub - killed by a poisoned dart - she is determined to find the killer. Despite being unimpressed with her amateur sleuthing skills, old friends are more than willing to help Agatha scratch together the clues she needs to solve the case. With some help from one of them, she discovers that Charles wasn't as innocent as he tried to make it seem.

This is a murder mystery set in a small English village and tells the story of Agatha Raisin. It is easy to listen to because it's narrated by British actress Penelope Keith who does an amazing job!

Agatha Raisin is a middle-aged house-proud Englishwoman living in the Cotswolds with her husband, George. Agatha sets up a detective agency and employs the services of handsome young Peter - but when their first case involves a murder, Agatha finds herself in over her head.
