Hostage Free Audiobook Download by Don Brown

'James Adams' narrates the book and does a fantastic job. In an audiobook, the narrator has to be able to pace the listener in order to keep them engaged, and James Adams does this beautifully. The only thing I would have preferred is if they had included some character building at the beginning of every chapter. I understand that it's not necessary for telling a story, but I think it would have made the first few chapters easier to get into.

Don Brown's novel "Hostage" is a suspenseful thriller with moments of dark humor that the reader will find hard to put down.

The story revolves around James Adams, a father of three who is forced to take hostages inside his house after he finds out that the government is coming after him. He has to keep them hidden and in control of the situation until help comes.

The year is 2011. American intelligence officials have been compromised, and the President realizes that a national security emergency has arisen. James Adams is a retired agent who was recruited to help save the day with his unique skill set. However, when he's paid in cash, he becomes suspicious and takes it upon himself to investigate. When a terrorist threatens to kill hostages if he doesn't get what he wants, James quickly realizes that this could be his last mission before retirement.

The story is narrated by James Adams, a wealthy and successful business man who's life is turned upside down when he becomes the hostage of a terrorist group. He learns to overcome his fears as he tries to make it back with his life. This audiobook also takes you through the point of view of terrorists and hostages.

James Adams is a doctor, but he's also a hostage and that makes all the difference. He has his medical kit, he has food, water, and batteries for his cell phone. He even has a weapon to fight off "the Beast" if it comes for him. But what James doesn't have is any real sense of time or an idea of where he is in the building.
