Her Mother's Shadow Free Audiobook Download by Diane Chamberlain

From the moment Arielle gets a call from her mother saying that her father has been in an accident, she's The girl who must go live with her father in London while he recovers. Did she want to? Arielle thought not. Her entire life she was told how much better it would be if they were closer and now suddenly she doesn't want that anymore.

Her mother's shadow is everywhere, it's been there for as long as she can remember. She wakes up every day to the sound of her parents fighting. Sometimes she wonders if anything will ever change.

A good book, a great narrator. Arielle DeLisle is the perfect narrator for this novel. Her voice matches perfectly with the mood and tone of the novel. It really made for an immersive experience that had me torn between crying and laughing. This might be one of my favorite audiobooks I've ever listened to!

When Samantha was a young girl she had an accident that changed her life. Her mother passed away and Samantha went to live with her father. Soon after, her father remarried and Samantha became the step-daughter of the woman she loved. She tried to love both parents but their inability to communicate left her feeling lost and lonely. Years later, she grew up and has found herself in a similar situation again: a man she loves is married to someone else and she's nowhere near close enough to know how to deal with it yet again...

This is the type of audiobook that you will find yourself staying up way too late listening to. It is a story of survival that has kept me up at night. A place to start with this title would be at the prologue-- it will hook you immediately and keep your attention centered on the book.

The story starts off with Bree's mother, Lottie, being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Bree and her father decide to take a vacation after the diagnosis in order to give Lottie some time to recuperate. They spend their trip in a small town called St. Marys, where they rediscover and reconnect with each other while also finding peace within themselves.
