"You're my one shining light when the darkness gets too heavy and I can't bear to live." This is one of those books that it's hard to gush, because there's so much to love about it. I liked the narrator, Lauren Fortgang. She had an incredible amount of energy that fit well with the story. The novel had a lot of twists and turns, which made me curious to see where things would go next. Grace and Glory was a refreshing read that was perfect for when you need a quick fix!

Grace and Glory is the first book in The Lux series, narrated by Lauren Fortgang. Despite being a young adult novel, it reads like middle grade with vocabulary appropriate for young adults but adults will be able to understand. It follows two friends - Grace, who is a cheerleader and Glory, who has lived all her life with severe dyslexia. They are best friends and when they both develop powers that turn their worlds upside down it forces them to confront each other's strengths and weaknesses.

Grace and Glory is a fast-paced, thrilling, and romantic read. Written in alternating first-person, we follow two female protagonists who are on a mission to find the Shadow Society that has been targeting women. Risika's best friend has been abducted and she is determined to find her and bring her back home safely. Grace is an easy-going heroine who seems to have everything going for her, until she finds herself suddenly homeless after losing her job at a bakery. She vows to never let anyone else know about the truth of what really happened because it would mean she would be kicked out of the foster care system - even if it means never getting justice for the real perpetrator behind all the trouble all along.

Grace and Glory by Jennifer L. Armentrout is one of my favorite books. I loved the story, the characters, and its unique twists on Greek mythology. It was such a wonderful read that it made me tear up near the end! I highly recommend this audiobook to anyone who wants something fresh and new that will give them goosebumps.

[The main character] is a talented violinist who has been struggling to get a degree in music due to her family's financial struggles. She takes on the job of playing the lead violin in her high school's orchestra and works hard to improve herself. In the midst of studying for her final exams, she first hears about this competition called Grace and Glory, which is a worldwide contest that challenges musicians to put their skills to the test against each other. With some encouragement from her best friend, she decides to enter the competition and girl does she find out that it was worth it.

When a string of murders take place around the world, the only link between them is a video shared on social media. This jolts Grace into action, and she has to find out who's behind these mysterious deaths. As she pursues the murderer, her feelings for Noah only get stronger while he fights his own secrets and feelings, but with every puzzle piece she uncovers, all of their lives are in danger.
