My favorite part of this book was the narrator. The way she read the characters voices really captured me. I could imagine them right in front of me because of how well the narrator read it.

The story centers on a young girl named Vasya who has lost everything in her life - her parents, after being enslaved by slavers, and all trace of her own people. When she meets another set of Frostbloods, she begins to hope that she might find a way back home someday and get revenge on the slavers.

One half of the story is filled with a murdering cult and an ice-wielding protagonist while the other half is packed with action and adventure.
