Fractured: A Novel Free Audiobook Download by Karin Slaughter

It's been nearly six months since the unthinkable happened. One minute, people were living their lives; the next, they were gone - flicker, gone. Like turning off a light switch and then watching it burn out in the dark.

Kathleen Early, narrator of the audiobook Fractured, is one of the top narrators in the country. She has narrated over 70 audiobooks and has won numerous awards for her narration.

A death sentence. Three lives. One chance to redeem his soul. For a man who's been paralyzed by guilt and regret, the offer comes with a promise of poetic justice: If he can find and kill the person he failed to protect, then his sins will be washed away in blood.

Wow! How'd this book get so good? I had no idea what I was getting into. This is a dark thriller with interesting characters and a story that's twisting and turning in the most satisfying ways. The audiobook itself is narrated by Kathleen Early, who has an incredibly nice voice and does a fantastic job of giving life to these characters. One can only imagine how much work she put into the performance, which makes it all the more enjoyable to listen to.

In the audiobook of 'Fractured', each chapter starts with a quote from the novel. The first quote is "I don't want to know anything about you." The narrator, who is in her seventies and has some dementia, is speaking to a visiting journalist. She says that she doesn't want to know anything about this person because she doesn't trust them, but she does need something from them: her story. In order for the journalist to tell her story, the narrator needs to be able to trust them first. This can be conflicting at times when it comes to the story because even though you might not want to know anything about someone, you still care deeply about them.
