Firebrand Free Audiobook Download by Kristen Britain

Firebrand is a riveting historical thriller so rich in detail that it has been called “the work of an accomplished historian.” It is based on true events and tells the story of Barbara Hepworth, a wealthy Yorkshire farm girl who defies her British class to become a successful artist in 1930s Germany.

This is the third book in The Firebrand series, which tells tales of two people changing history. It's also a great adventure novel with lots of action as it follows Reynard as he comes up against an ancient evil that wants to wipe out all human life.

Firebrand by Kristen Britain was originally published in print back in 2013, but it's audiobook has just been released. The book tells the story of Katherine, a girl who has to go through a lot of hardship to protect her family and her secrets.

The writer, Kristen Britain, is a great storyteller and this novel is no exception. She leads you through the plot with ease and keeps you turning pages. I would recommend this book for anyone who enjoys a historical fiction read that moves at quite a pace.

Ellen Archer is the perfect narrator for this book. Her voice is strong and engaging, which makes it easy to listen to even when you're often disconnected during your busy day. The audiobook also includes a bonus track that I thoroughly enjoyed, but it's not required to enjoy the story.

The novel begins with a slow, painful death. For the first time in her life, eighteen-year-old Beatrice sees her father killed before her eyes. A few days later she finds out that she is part of a traveling company of actors and actresses who call themselves Firebrands. They perform live at fairs, jousts and weddings, but their performances are more than just entertainment. As Firebrands, they are spreading a message about the truth behind social inequalities in medieval England and using theater as a tool for change.
