Every Day Free Audiobook Download by David Levithan

We heard David Levithan's Every Day through audiobook and felt like it was a must-read for our students. We decided to create a blog post about the audiobook, so that you know what you are getting into if you choose to purchase it.

Every Day is a bildungsroman about one young man's first love, the book explores the themes of self-discovery and the lengths we go to in order to belong.

Every Day is written from a male narrator's perspective. The novel is about 17-year-old A, who falls in love with the 17-year-old B (pronounced "bee"). A is a straight male; B, a lesbian.

Every Day by David Levithan is a beautiful novel that deals with love and loss. This book led me to the audiobook, which was read beautifully by the author's own voice. It really set the mood for the story and made me feel like I was listening to a story being told by my best friend in person.

Every Day is a heartrending love story of two teenagers, A and B, who fall in love over the course of six days. When they decide to meet up each day at a different time, they experience their day in reverse order so that they can still be together in the end. It is a darkly comic yet hopeful read about growing up and finding love.

Each chapter in this novel has been told by a different person and the reader has to do their best to piece together who was speaking and what happened. It is interesting to see how the author crafts each story differently in order to highlight different aspects of the novel's theme.
