Readers who enjoy a suspenseful thriller with a twist of humor will enjoy this book. At the start, we find out that Francis is broke and needs to make money quickly. His last surviving relative dies and he inherits the family farm, but has to pay for it within six months or lose it.

In this audiobook, the story follows a man who is accused of murder. Unbeknownst to him, the victim was found dead in his home, and he must find a way to prove his innocence. He's helped by an old boxing partner who has connections with the forces that be.

Dick Francis is a British crime thriller writer and author. He also writes under the pseudonym Felix Francis which he has used for autobiography, historical fiction and fantasy. One of his novels, Damage, was made into an audiobook by Michael Neilson which can now be downloaded on Audible.

The audiobook is narrated by the author's son, Michael Neilson. He does a fantastic job of narrating, again using Dick Francis's voice. I'm a huge fan of audiobooks and this was one my favorites to listen to. It's not that it takes place in Africa but it's just so easy to imagine being there with the narrator's voice and all the beautiful descriptions of Africa.
