Devil Said Bang is a science fiction story about a government agent that goes rogue and has to fight his way to the top of the criminal world. The audiobook is narrated by MacLeod Andrews, who does an amazing job in giving life to Kadrey's characters.

Devil Said Bang is the audiobook that has me totally hooked. I just had to buy this book and listen (or should I say, drive). You see, in Devil Said Bang, MacLeod Andrews takes us on a fantastic journey to a magical world of guns, gangs, and drugs. This is an action-packed thriller that will test your intellect as it keeps you turning the pages.

Richard Kadrey's audiobooks are always entertaining and he keeps the story moving along at a fast pace. In this story, Devil Said Bang, the protagonist wakes up in a hospital bed with no memory of the last month or events leading up to his accident. He starts piecing together bits of information to figure out what went wrong when he realizes that what he thinks is a suicide attempt was really just an attempted robbery. Kadrey does a great job of making you feel for both his protagonist and his antagonist without letting you become emotionally invested in one or the other. The narrator does an excellent job of reading this book and keeping us interested in the characters as they figure out what has happened to them.

In the audiobook "Devil Said Bang", Richard Kadrey's protagonist, Charlie Asher, is an ex-cop turned private detective who's hired to figure out who killed a famous Hollywood actress. The narration is by MacLeod Andrews, who does a great job at capturing Charlie's voice and performance style. I found myself laughing out loud in more than one place while listening to this story.
