The characters in the novel are both widowed after long marriages in which their spouses passed away from illnesses. One woman, Jordan, felt guilty that she was able to continue living because she had been married for so long whereas the other woman, Marisa, never loved her husband before his death and realizes that it is possible to live without love and be happy.

Competitive Grieving by Nora Zelevansky is one of my favorite books. It's about a girl who enters the world of competitive dancing and her relationship with the dancing community. The book explores themes like feminism and mental health. I love listening to the audiobook, which is narrated by Katie Schorr. There are many other great narrators for this book, but she did an amazing job!
