The narrator's voice is sweet and soothing. The author does an excellent job with the characters, making them easy to interpret. The dialogue is witty and there are no awkward pauses or repetitions.
I have been in the mood to read a new novel lately and decided to give this one a try. It is the author's first book. I was not disappointed! It is well written, with interesting characters and a plot that keeps you hooked until the end of the story. The narrator did excellent, giving her character a young, energetic feel which helped immerse me into this world.
The audiobook of the Collecting the Goddess is narrated by Andrea Emmes, and she does a great job. In it she makes you feel like you are there with her. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys fantasy novels.
'Collecting the Goddess' is a gripping, mythological fantasy with a complex plot and compelling characters. It chronicles the love and devotion of two very different individuals who intertwine their lives, sparking an epic battle for supremacy and power that will change the world forever.
The author begins the story with a simple premise: while on a trip to Italy, a young American girl falls in love with an anonymous artist. She spends her days wandering the streets of Florence, attempting to find and catch glimpses of her mystery man. One day, she's drawn by his voice, and she sees that he is facing away from her so she quickly snatches his sketch pad from his hand and runs off. He chases after her, but she trips over something he left lying in the road, and before long they are both standing face-to-face with each other.
