Cherry is a novel about a boy whose family has moved from England to America. His family was originally very poor, but his father had worked hard and earned a good living, which made them realize that they could have better lives in America. They are forced to move, though, because there is no work for them in England. His mother begins to teach him about life and growing up in the US. He learns about the different people, food, culture, and language of America with her help.

The story is about a high schooler who, like the protagonist of all of Walker's novels, finds himself in a tough spot and ends up meeting someone who changes everything for him.

Cherry is a story about a man who suddenly falls in love with a woman, only to get her pregnant and find out that she is actually a zombie.

A couple of years ago, my wife and I took a trip to London. We enjoyed the sights, sounds and flavors of the city. One day we got hungry and had lunch at a sandwich shop. When I bit into my sandwich after it was wrapped in paper, it exploded in my mouth. It turned out that there was glass embedded in some bread they were using. The owner apologized profusely and we both felt like we'd been taken advantage of.

As the reader listens to this audio, they will enter into a world where life is perfect. No one gets sick and no one dies. The only problem is that there is no happiness. They have figured out how to keep people from ever becoming unhappy; they've created the perfect society, but it's empty. As life continues on in this novel, it becomes clear that there's something wrong with their society and the characters must figure out what that is in order to fix it.
