Lauren Ezzo is the narrator of this audiobook. She has a pleasant voice with a soft tone and good pacing. I really enjoyed listening to her voice, and I think that she did well with conveying emotion during the different scenes. For example, during the scene where Rory discusses how he had an emergency appendectomy, she does a convincing job of portraying his pain and frustration.

This audiobook was really powerful. I listened to it in the car for over 4 hours, which I think is about enough time to completely get your point across without it feeling redundant. The book is about the history of drug addiction, and it covers a lot of ground. I wish some of the information in this audiobook had been released as a primer before we got so deep into the subject matter.
