Brokeback Mountain Free Audiobook Download by Annie Proulx

Brokeback Mountain is a 2004 American romantic drama film adapted from Annie Proulx's 1997 short story "Brokeback Mountain" and directed by Ang Lee. The film tells the story of two men: Ennis del Mar, a married man who lives in Texas with his wife, and Jack Twist, a rodeo cowboy who longs for something more than the life he leads in Wyoming.

[Brokeback Mountain] is a story about the love between two gay cowboys, Ennis Del Mar and Jack Twist. It is shown from their point of view in flashbacks beginning with when they were small boys, and continuing through their first meeting as adults. It's about them struggling to find acceptance for their "abnormal" differences. The story shows how hard it can be for gay people to be accepted by society as well as how hard it can be for some people to accept themselves.

Campbell Scott reads the novel in a rugged, masculine voice, which creates an almost otherworldly sound. His deep, soothing voice creates a sound that is very easy on the ears.

If you loved the film, then the audiobook is a must. Campbell Scott narrated the audiobook and he really brings the story to life by using character voices to bring out different emotions. If you find it hard to listen to, due to its length (the audiobook is nine hours long), then you can download two files of a shorter listening span.

"Brokeback Mountain" is a short story about two cowboys that have an affair in the mountains of Wyoming. It is Annie Proulx's fourth book and was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 2005.

The narration for this piece of work was brilliant. The reader has amazing voice control and timing - he has a flawless understanding of the piece. This is a must listen to see if you enjoy tales set in that time.
