I was wrapped up in the story and listening to it on my iPod. I did not even notice that the traffic had died down. A few minutes later, I found myself sitting at a light with no cars surrounding me in either lane.

Reading Patricia Briggs is a fantastically entertaining way to spend your time. Her stories are filled with action, adventure, and of course the very human relationships between humans and the supernatural creatures that share their world. This audiobook is no exception to this rule. Beautifully written and narrated by Lorelei King, the story about two werewolves on the run from an ancient enemy is full of danger, suspense, love and intrigue.

Blood Bound is the fourth installment in Patricia Briggs's Mercy Thompson series. Mercy, a shape-shifter, stumbles upon two werewolves near her home, and helps them to heal from their wounds. Sometimes that meant playing with blood - which was a new twist for Mercy. I love how this story can be read as a stand-alone and included all of the action from book one through four.

Patricia Briggs crafted a fantastic, action-packed story with a strong heroine and an even stronger hero. The plot has plenty of twists and turns to keep your interest. There's so much going on in this book that it's easy to get caught up in the suspenseful action.

Blood Bound is the latest installment in Patricia Briggs vampire series, showcasing the return of Mercy, who has been missing since book 2 of the series. This is my favorite installment of the Mercy Thompson series so far because it's dark and twisted, with plenty of mystery and suspense to keep you on your toes. After a while, I found myself too immersed in this story to put it down.
