Black Fox Free Audiobook Download by Matt Braun
"A masterpiece of suspense and crime fiction, Black Fox is as relevant today as it was when first published in 1978" (Paul Attanasio)
Black Fox is a thriller/mystery interweaved with supernatural elements. The protagonist, David Anderson, is a university professor who has been living in the countryside of Texas when he's called back to his hometown with high expectations. He returns to find that his high school best friend and fellow professor, Michael Ortner, has disappeared without a trace.
I have read Black Fox in the past and I am excited to listen to it again with a different voice. George Guidall does an outstanding job narrating this audiobook. He has managed to get into the mind of other characters and I had trouble distinguishing between Eli and his love interest, Josephine.
Black Fox is a riveting and deeply moving tale of one young man's journey from innocence to experience. Their story unfolds in the first person, from his perspective, as he tells us about his life growing up in the 1940s, through his experiences and relationships with other characters. The narrator, George Guidall, delivers the story with a subtle power that makes it impossible for listeners not to feel what this character is feeling.
There's no denying that there are many people who don't enjoy audiobooks, but for me it's one of my favorite ways to take in a book. I've always been a reader, and the combination of audiobook and written word is what makes this experience so special for me. Black Fox is a fascinating story about love and loss, betrayal and revenge, passion and tragedy. The narrator, George Guidall was not only able to capture the readers emotions beautifully but he also made the listener feel like they were right there with Max in his adventure.
Black Fox is a fascinating mystery novel by Matt Braun, featuring a black fox named Blackie and his quirky cast of characters. The novel is narrated by the author himself, George Guidall, who captures the mood throughout this adventure.
