Between the Wild Branches is a novel about a girl who was raised in the woods by her wild grandmother and has no sense of fear. It's author Connilyn Cossette writes about a young girl named Linnie who must learn to survive when she comes into contact with humans for the first time.

The novel starts out with a young woman named Lila who is on her way to see her father for the first time in three years. She takes a train to meet him, and quickly realizes something is wrong when she sees an article of his next to his bed-- news that he has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. She's devastated, but manages to make it through the meeting despite her emotions being all over the place. As they say their goodbyes outside the hospital, Lila spots a newspaper clipping of herself in an old photo--when she was just a university student in Montreal. That's when she begins to think about her life before she became a mother and before the diagnosis.

This is a story of how the lives of two young Americans, Chira and Emmett, intertwine during their years in Paris as they both study for their MFA. As Chira's world view changes with her love for Emmett, she begins to question many aspects of her life back home.

Between the Wild Branches is a novel that takes place during the Revolutionary War set in 1778 Philadelphia. It tells the story of a woman named Jessamine, who is forced to go on the run and disguise herself as a man to save her family, who values her position in society.

Connilyn Cossette's Between the Wild Branches is one of those books that I can't really describe. It's an excellent, character-driven story with some light mystery sprinkled in. It's a quiet, unassuming tale of love and family, set against the backdrop of small town America.

Between the Wild Branches is about a bullied 10-year-old girl named Scarlett Rae and how she finds refuge in a magical forest. Scarlett starts to learn more about herself as she joins the things that live beneath the earth.
