Betrayal at Ravenswick: A Fiona Figg Mystery Audiobook Download by Kelly Oliver
Fiona Figg is a wealthy New York socialite and professional party planner who's looking for the perfect - or at least manageable - job that will enable her to escape from the high-society life she loathes. After a casual meeting with Fiona, Ravenswick comes up in conversation, a remote estate owned by her dead aunt. Ravenswick is essentially a one-woman show now that Fiona's aunt has died and it sounds like the perfect place for Fiona to spend some time while she evaluates other jobs. When Fiona arrives, things take a turn for the worse when she learns that her aunt was murdered on the night of her arrival.
When Fiona Figg returns home for Christmas, she is drawn into a murder mystery that must be solved. Her sleuthing skills are put to the test when her old enemy from Chicago arrives in Ravenswick and a former client goes missing. This book has it all: suspense, romance, close calls, and even a little murder!
One day Lucy finds a dead body in the woods with Fiona's shoe nearby. She tells Fiona who, after her initial shock, is completely uninterested in helping her find the culprit. Lucy becomes frustrated and goes to the police; but Fiona still refuses to help. Eventually, the police get nowhere and no one believes Lucy's story of what happened that night because they believe she was hiding something behind it all. So she begins to investigate on her own.
I am a Fiona Figg fan and I am listening to the audio version of this novel, which is narrated by Nikki Delgado [instead of Fiona]. The narrator sounds different than Fiona, but it's not a bad thing. It makes me feel as though I'm getting a brand new story.
