Bad Men and Wicked Women Free Audiobook Download by Eric Jerome Dickey
Just when you thought it was safe to read a scary book again, Eric Jerome Dickey has come up with Bad Men and Wicked Women. The story is about a witch who falls in love with a preacher man. She then proceeds to take him on a wild ride as she tries to get him to fall for her. As much as I loved the novel, I had trouble staying engaged throughout the book. It doesn't help that I listened to it on audiobook. It would have been better if Dion Graham narrated it because he sounds so much like Eric Jerome Dickey!
"A sinner is someone who hurts a child, a woman and the earth. A bad man is one who hurts animals and destroys nature." In his lyrical novel that combines a compelling quest for redemption with the author's romantic take on justice, Eric Jerome Dickey tackles two topics: how man's inhumanity to man shapes our world and how we can reconcile ourselves with what's morally right.
When you're in the mood for a good romance novel, one of the first places that comes to mind is the big box store. The thought of turning your car into a movie theater to catch up on some new releases while driving home from work is also an enticing idea. With so many options available, it's difficult to know what audiobook would be perfect for you. Let's face it; not all books are meant to be listened to and that's ok!
Bad Men and Wicked Women is the story of a young woman from the projects who falls in love with a pimp who is five years her senior. It's an interesting take on a different culture that Dickey does quite well in the audiobook format.
The narrators voice is very deep and smooth. I found it soothing to listen too and picked up a lot of information just by listening. When the narrator brought in characters, his voice changed to a higher tone that made you think of the character as if he was right there with you.
Bad Men and Wicked Women is a story of redemption, second chances and forgiveness. The book is written from the perspective of Dion Graham, an old friend of the protagonist Julian's who left him for a man he was genuinely in love with. When he learns about this betrayal, he goes back to his hometown to reconnect with his mother and make amends with his former best friend.
