Jonathan Marosz does a fine job narrating this novel and the pacing of the story is quick. Coben has written several other books and I am hoping that Jonathan is available to do a full run-through of them as well.

A classic Harlan Coben novel that's classic because his characters have a near superhuman ability to save themselves, despite the odds. The main character's best friend is murdered and he sets out to find the killer. He teams up with a female detective who seems competent but is really hiding some dark secrets of her own.

Harlan Coben's thriller opens with a disturbing crime that becomes even more disturbing as it unfolds. There is a little boy named Billy Flynn who lives in rural Pennsylvania and he has been abused his entire life. He wants to be normal, but in the way of a person who is abused, Billy scrambles for approval from anyone he can find. A teacher sees this sad behavior and takes Billy under her wing, but she's not what he thinks she is either.
