'Eve's story' is full of unexpected twists and turns. Eve and the ginger-haired gentleman manage to find peril lurking in every corner, but their escape is nothing less than dazzling.

This was a fun, fast-paced audiobook. It's the second book in this series and while it can be read as a stand-alone, I recommend listening to the first book before diving into this one so that you know where all the characters are at. The narrator has a great voice and gives each character an individual tone which makes it easy to distinguish between them.

The stage is set for a suspenseful thriller, with Angéle Masters delivering the perfect narration. Parson Hall was built by a wealthy and successful man, who was also a philanthropist with an interest in re-wilding. The ground floor of his estate has been converted into a theater to encourage new plays from avant-garde authors. When the show opens, it is discovered that one of the playwrights committed suicide and left his unpublished work with an enigmatic message requesting that no one should ever perform his play.

There's a lot of talk about how dangerous the internet is, but it can also be dangerous. Angèle Masters, my self-professed book nerd, found herself in a situation that strained her faith in humanity to the limit.
