All the Murmuring Bones Free Audiobook Download by A.G. Slatter
The first in the Kate Shackleton mystery series is one of the most atmospheric and suspenseful mysteries I've read. Slatter's descriptions are absolutely stunning, with her prose evoking a feeling of dread that never goes away throughout this novel. The story is told in alternating first person perspectives between two different main characters: Kate, who's just returned to England after surviving on a deserted Greek island for six years; and Daniel, Hastings' assistant at London University.
All The Murmuring Bones by A.G. Slatter is a gritty, dark, and at times, macabre tale of the people who call themselves 'providers'. They are the terminally ill who sell their bodies to researchers so they can fight disease yet survive to see their loved ones again. The story follows Catherine Black and her daughter Alice as they make their way through the medical system in search of answers.
All the Murmuring Bones is a gripping, exciting and unusual mystery, with plenty of twists and turns. A riveting story told with new, fresh angles on the genre.
An eerie, suspenseful, atmospheric read which reminded me of some aspects of Let the Right One In by John Ajvide Lindqvist. It's a haunting tale that has ghosts, murder and decaying flesh but is not a horror novel.
All the Murmuring Bones is a dark, creepy story about a collection of bones that come alive at night and whisper secrets.
Rowan Williams and his young rune-keeper, Willow, are propelling the world of The Order of the Phoenix into a new era.
