The writer Louise Penny creates suspenseful scenes through her well-developed characters and descriptive writing. The reader is unable to predict what will happen next because of the various twists and turns the story takes over the course of the story.

This was my first audible book, and it really surprised me. I am very happy that I listened to this book. Ralph Cosham did a fantastic job at narrating this novel, and helped create a different experience for me by making it easier to visualize the scene he was describing. The plot is well-written, and I found myself on the edge of my seat as I listened to the story unfold.
