In the 1920s, Marcus Garvey led a group of African Americans in the Caribbean and North America with his campaign for black equality. He is credited as being one of the most influential leaders in history. One of his greatest accomplishments was his 1915 address at the Universal Negro Improvement Association and African Communities League convention. This recording is rare because it's one of only two known recordings of him speaking publicly on record.

Marcus Garvey was a leader in the fight for African-American equality. He successfully led the United Negro Improvement Association and became known as "the black Moses." His beliefs were very similar to those of Mahatma Ghandi's, focusing on non-violent protests to achieve change. One of his most famous speeches is "What, then, is your programme?"

This was a rare recording of Marcus Garvey. It's something many people might be interested in. This audiobook is read by someone who sounds just like the man himself. This person is reading a full version of the speech that Garvey gave in 1936, where he talked about how important it was to keep segregation in place.

In 'A Rare Recording of Marcus Garvey' by Marcus Garvey, the readers are introduced to an audiobook narrated by Marcus Garvey. In the summer of 1927, Marcus Garvey, the leader and founder of the Universal Negro Improvement Association and African Communities League, was on a speaking tour in Jamaica. A meeting was scheduled on August 3 at which Garvey was presented with a copy of "The Negro World," a newspaper published by the UNIA. The copy had been mistakenly sent to him instead of to his rival, W. D. Johnson. There is no record as to how this happened but it is presumed that it was due to an administrative error on Johnson's part or possibly he wanted to avoid antagonizing Garvey and did not want him to see something unfavorable about him or his organization in print. However, it seems that something went wrong during the presentation because when Johnson tried to read from the paper the following day in Kingston, he discovered that it was blank. Not long after this incident, an audio recording of Garvey's speech was made by Ralph Beardsley who had apparently traveled to Jamaica specifically for this event.

A Rare Recording of Marcus Garvey is a great audiobook that has been narrated by the prominent political activist himself, Marcus Garvey. The narration of this audiobook does a wonderful job at giving you an in-depth look into the politics and struggles of his time, as well as his life.
