A Place for Us is a memoir about two Indian teenagers' experiences in America. The book shows the effects of immigration, culture shock and racism on both the teens' lives. "The narrator, Nisha, narrates the story from her point of view. Nisha was born in India but immigrated to America as a child with her family when she was 8 years old." There are many different characters and sub-plots that make this book interesting and complex. Aspects of this book reminded me of my own family's stories, which made it even more meaningful to listen to. This audiobook download has been rated 4 stars on Audible.
