A Lady's Guide to Mischief and Murder Free Audiobook Download by Dianne Freeman

So, you’re a detective, and you find yourself in the midst of an investigation. You’ve got a lot on your plate, but the one thing that always gets in the way of your work is…your life. Your family. Your partner. Romantic relationships. But what if there was a way to keep some of those ties while still working on your cases? If you could be with someone who understands what you do, who can make time for you when it matters- would it help?

When Lady Anne wakes up from her nap in an abandoned, overgrown field she's surprised to find herself the target of a nefarious plot. With the help of her loyal companion, Lady Anne will uncover the mystery and unravel some dark secrets about the sinister person who put her on the spot.

The last person to see the victim alive is a long time gossip columnist and the unofficial 'Queen of New York City High Society.' The murder-mystery is set in 1920s Manhattan and the narration switches between gossip columnist, Mrs. Merryweather's point-of-view, and those of the police detective on the case, as well as an eye witness that comes forward years later.

This audiobook was the best and first of its kind. I like that it is a character driven novel with an intricate plot. The narrator did a great job.

This audiobook is a delightful and interesting listen that offers an intimate view of the life of a murderer as she uncovers her own dark secrets.
